Natural disasters and unforeseen crises don’t come with warning. Catastrophic floods, earthquakes, and local emergencies can wipe out the most vulnerable families in a flash.
We have a quick-reaction system at Banuri Welfare Foundation for the provision of emergency relief and disaster aid to the distressed communities under the Shariah-compliant moral oversight of Jamia Uloom Islamia Banuri Town.
Our Emergency Response Strategy:
- Rapid Action Teams: Our trained volunteers and staff are among the first on the ground, providing physical presence and logistical support in disaster-hit zones.
- Emergency Life-Kits: We provide emergency relief supplies like ready-to-eat food, clean drinking water and hygiene kits to families displaced by floods, earthquakes and other disasters.
- Medical First-Aid: Mobile health units provide emergency medical aid to treat injuries, help stop the spread of water-borne diseases and distribute essential medicines to areas where hospitals and other health facilities have been damaged or destroyed.
- Temporary Shelter & Rebuilding: Our work doesn’t end with immediate disaster relief. We also provide tents and tarpaulins to shield families affected by disasters from severe weather conditions, and we strive to rebuild permanent, low-cost homes for those who have lost their dwellings.
- Post-Disaster Rehabilitation: We help families rebuild their livelihoods after a disaster by providing farmers with seeds, laborers with tools or small grants to help restart their businesses and become self-reliant.
